Destiny Sparks, Executive Director

Educated at Bethel and St. Mary’s, Destiny has worked in education for over 20 years and in the charter school community for a majority of that time. In her charter school tenure, she has worked as a paraprofessional, special education teacher, English teacher, district assessment coordinator, school board chair, director of education, and currently Executive Director. In her spare time, Destiny enjoys spending time with her three sons, the family pets, and reading.

Jason Kinsley - Social Studies 

Jason was educated in sculpture at the University of Iowa and curriculum/instruction at the University of St. Thomas. This is Jason's 11th year of teaching. He enjoys writing, art history, and boxing.

Alan Stellpflug – Science 

Alan has an American Chemical Society accredited Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He spent over 20 years in California working briefly for a software development company and then spending 15 years working for a large Biotech company near San Francisco. He finally decided to follow his passion for education by completing his Minnesota Educators License at Saint Mary’s University. 
When not teaching, Alan likes to play spend time with his family and kids, work with his rescued Pit-Bull Roman (he is a trained therapy dog) and play computer games.

Hayley Vetsch - English

Hayley graduated in May 2015 with a degree in Teaching Communication Arts and Literature. She has been influenced by generations of teachers in her family and has always wanted to be an English teacher. She has volunteered in many settings, taught in a preschool, student taught at several schools in Duluth and has a background in radio and with theater. She looks forward to the start of her career at Watershed with a lot of excitement! In her spare time, Hayley likes to go hiking, play and record music, and cook.

Amanda Procopio - Math Teacher

Amanda was educated in mathematics and chemistry at Augsburg University. With graduate work in education at both Augsburg and Bemidji State University, Amanda also has experience tutoring students in math and reading from the age 4 through the college level, both as an undergrad at Augsburg and since pursuing her career in teaching. In her spare time Amanda enjoys being outdoors, practicing yoga, and scrap booking.

Molly Mcinnis - Special Education

Having family members with special education needs, Molly has had the privilege to meet and work with some amazing teachers. These experiences inspired her to become a special education teacher herself. Molly has worked as a special education teacher, paraprofessional, and volunteer tutor in the Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Fridley school districts since 2007. Molly greatly values the importance of arts in education and works with her students to build their confidence, be themselves, and do their best. She has a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and earned her special education licensure at Augsburg College. Before becoming a special education teacher, Molly had a career as a working artist for over 20 years.  Her job experiences include being a set and wardrobe stylist, making costumes at the Children's Theater, and a shop at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Molly and her family enjoy running a radio control race-car program in St. Louis Park and working to create and develop the local RC racing community.

Callie McInnes - Special Education

Callen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in English Education and Special Education in May 2016. Helping people learn and grow both academically and individually is Callie's passion. She has worked with individuals with disabilities in many settings, including working as a volunteer in several community programs and as a camp counselor. She strives to bring out the strengths in her students and help them become prepared for life after school. When she's not at school, Callie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. She loves to read, bake, and be outdoors! Callie could not be more excited to start her teaching career at Watershed High School!

Ashley Mohn - School Social Worker

Ashley received her Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.  She worked in the field of teaching for ten years with infants through twelfth graders in various settings and with varying abilities.  She returned to school for her Master's Degree in Social Work (Multicultural Clinical Practice) at Augsburg College because she wanted to work with youth and adolescents while they develop their sense of self, enhance and utilize their strengths, and be on the sidelines cheering them along during difficult, ordinary, and amazing times.  In her spare time, Ashley enjoys watching her step-daughters play sports, spending time with their pets, training her dog to become a therapy dog, visiting family and friends, and being outdoors.

Daphne Bodene - Educational Assistant

Daphne holds degrees from the University of Minnesota in Theatre Arts and Design. In addition to her work at Watershed, she is a textile artist, a passionate advocate of arts in school, and has been employed at Whittier International IB World School Community Education since 2003. She and her husband have a daughter and son - both Watershed graduates! She encourages everyone to support Bat Conservation International.

Vikki Gilligan - Office Manager

Attended St. Catherine's University.  Vikki has worked in schools since 1999. She and her husband have raised 4 children, a very large dog, and two cats. When not helping students, Vikki can be found at the rugby pitch cheering on her sons or enjoying time with her family.

Marc Gutman - Math Teacher Emeritus

Marc holds a Masters in Math Education from the University of Minnesota and began working as an educator in 1998.  He is a Musician, Origamist, and spent two years traveling the country with a musical show about Calculus.  Marc currently resides in Minneapolis where he continues to compose and record new songs about Math. While Marc has decided to move on to follow other career goals, he remains a positive influence at Watershed High School and will be seen from time to time giving staff and students a hand.
