Our Charter School Promotes Academic Success with Individualized Learning

At Watershed High School, our students blossom and grow in a performance-based academic environment that is also supportive, accepting, respectful and encourages the development of students’ individual skills, gifts, talents, and creativity.

Established in 1996, Watershed became a tuition-free public charter school in 2002. It is located in Richfield, MN. We serve students in 9th through 12th grades. Most of our students and families live in south Minneapolis and Richfield. We also serve students and families who live in the Twin Cities Metro — Bloomington, Edina, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Rosemount, Eagan, New Hope, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Plymouth, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park and Coon Rapids.

Mission

The mission of Watershed High School is to empower students to grow socially and academically in a safe, flexible, supportive environment.

(adopted November 2014)

Vision

Watershed High School’s vision is to help each student believe they can succeed in whatever they dream for themselves, starting with graduating from high school. Students will develop self-confidence, respect for themselves and others, the ability to advocate for themselves, and the ability to stick it out when the going gets tough. At Watershed, a community of allies recognizes and encourages each individual student’s strengths.
